Dragocons GmbH established in April 2002 in Zürich Switzerland stands for consulting and coaching of companies in organizational aspects with focus on project management in the IT field. Ad Interim management of IT-Services and related organizations is also offered.

René Werner Tobler               

Born June 14, 1952 in St.Gallen/Switzerland

 

Having experience in managing projects and service providing entities, he has specialized in missions on projects in the IT environment and on organizational aspects of providing services based on IT.

Core competences are in organization, management, communication and leadership. He can make people, organizations and teams work. The contribution is depending on what is needed by the customer. It can cover analysis, conceptual work and implementation as well and also very hands on work, if this makes things progress.

Mandates can be in any kind of IT projects including organizational aspects in particular after restructuring, mergers or acquisitions or when services around IT need to be established or adjusted for a globally acting organization.

Core services are:

• Coaching or managing projects, especially kick-off- and start-up phase
• Crisis management
• Resolving of communications problems among people
• Negotiations of global agreements
• Project-audits

Mandates are scalable and tailor-made to the needs of the customer. Part time is possible in any place of Switzerland, fulltime on mandate base anywhere. Turnkey agreements are possible. Travelling to any extent is no problem.

1998                     Member of the Integration Office of the division Private and Corporate Clients as account- and project manager. Relating to the merger between Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation, responsible for the sale of 25 business units according to a condition set by the Swiss regulators.

 

1997 (50%)            Program manager for the IT development activities to support the Taskforce Class Actions (GRTF) at Union Bank of Switzerland, Zurich

                            Development of an Archive and Document Management- and retrieval system.

 

1996 (100%) - 1997 (50%)  Project manager for the operational and organizational Integration of Appenzell ausserrhodische Kantonalbank, a local bank (Balance sheet of 3.3 Bln CHF) acquired by  Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), Zurich

 

1993 - 1996           Head of Logistics of  UBS, France, Paris, First Vice President as of 1996

                            Supervising the following Services: IT, Settlements, HR, Organization and Methods, Accounting and Internal Services, totaling about 60 staff

 

1988- 1993            Head of Logistics of UBS, Hong Kong. Vice president as of 1989

                            Similar scope as in Paris totaling about 90 staff, in 1992 the complete replacement of the Banking system including trading room, settlements and reporting were successfully undertaken in a big bang approach.

 

1983 - 1988           Manager of the functional unit providing the full range of services relating to the use of PCs and the applicable technical standards in UBS Switzerland. Building up from the scratch a fully fledged support organization with increasing tendency to outsourcing of activities. Installed in 1985 the first fully operational Novell LAN in UBS.
